The United States Senate

The United States Senate is one of the two bodies of the United States Congress and has a critical role in the legislative process. It takes important decisions on the passage of laws, confirmation of federal appointments, declaration of war and foreign policy. It also has the power to conduct the impeachment process to remove the president from office.
